cheap thrills.
OHOh.
that's too much restaurant-ing for the past few weeks.
i'm wallowing in immense guilty *seems not like it*
OhOh...ate @ Tung Lok Signatures this evening. omg. what a huge restaurant and so white & clean. and the air was filled with this pleasant hint of soy/ abalone/ fish sauce that they use for alot of their dishes. and my heart just crumbled at the sight of the peking duck others were eating (which i din get to cos my mum said it's so not worth it)
and we ate *drifts off to lala-land*
it was delicious (it has to be, given the amount we spend lOls.)
anyways speaking of foOd (yes as always; jasmine's favourite topic apart from korean dramas and shopping)
that's quite a few nice treats (and cheap thrills) @ around my work place...
Jasmine's favourite haunts during weekday lunch
nO 1.: Plaza Sing's Kopitiam's Indonesian BBQ stall. reminds me of NUS's engine canteen's indo foOd. yummy bbq sauce~
nO 2: Pontian Wanton Mee. apart from the Heeren branch, this one @ cuppage plaza is goOd toO. I dun get why i'm so gaga over the nonspicy (so they put black sauce instead of chilli) but love their noOdles.
nO 3: Orchard Yong Tau Foo also @ Cuppage Plaza. Best when eaten on the spot instead of takeaway; the great thing about it is their mifen (but i still miss my skoO's laksa yong tau foo)
nO 4: Isle Cafe's drinks. Especially their hot drinks; thick, not so sweet and superb! Iced drinks can vary from taste (on a daily basis). Apart from their drinks, the cafe also operate a chinese rice and singaporean delights which are cheaper considering that's orchard area. Alot of construction workers crowd there for lunch because they offer alot more rice and servings~
nO 5: Concord Hotel's foOdcourt. Although i've not tried every single stall but their nasi lemak is the most value for $$ lOls. At $3.80, u can get up to 5 sides. The Hokkien mee's quite tasty toO!
nO 6: Hard to admit (yes the xiaO jie dun really like the environment) but the mini coffeshop @ Concord hotel near the traffic light sells cheap quality foOd. The group of friends (or brothers) open a chinese rice and a chicken rice stall. Their duck's delicious and most of their chinese dishes are above average. One can get a meal @$2.70~
gOd i feel hungry.
